Are you passionate about food safety and technical compliance? 360 Recruitment are seeking a Specification Technologist to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that product specifications meet all business, customer, third-party, and legislative requirements. Your expertise will support the successful launch of new products, ensure compliance with UK and EU labelling regulations, and manage internal systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy in own brand product specifications and customer submissions.
  • Liaise with national account managers and suppliers for timely product reviews.
  • Mentor and manage the specification technologist team.
  • Oversee the completion of product artwork and packaging compliance.
  • Maintain a controlled library of customer and supplier details.
  • Support NPD, Process, and Buying teams with food regulations and customer policies.
  • Drive food safety culture and support internal and external audits.
  • Manage the Quality Management System, traceability challenges, and compliance with relevant legislation.
Ideal Candidate

Essential:
  • Food Safety Qualification
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Legal labelling knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage a small team
Desirable:
  • Experience completing customer specification
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
