About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Swadlincote. The position is a full-time role, starting in January 2025, and offers a chance to inspire and support students in their mathematical development.

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the key stages, promoting a love of the subject, and ensuring all students achieve their full potential. You will work within a collaborative department, contributing to the ongoing success of the school’s academic and extra-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with the potential for Key Stage 5).
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources, share best practices, and implement school initiatives.
  • Participate in school-wide events, including extracurricular activities, parent evenings, and staff development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the mathematics curriculum.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Previous teaching experience (preferred but not essential).
