We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to become a key part of our team, working closely with teachers and students to support learning in the classroom.
The Role:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside subject teachers to support students’ learning across various subjects. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one and group support, and helping students to achieve their academic goals. You will also play a crucial role in supporting students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have the best chance to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across multiple subjects.
- Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs (e.g. SEND).
- Support individual students or small groups with specific learning tasks or difficulties.
- Help maintain an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Encourage and promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour among students.

Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Essential).
- Experience working with secondary school-aged students (Desirable).
- Experience supporting students with additional needs (e.g. SEND, behavioural challenges) (Desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A flexible, proactive, and compassionate approach to working in an educational environment.
- A genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of secondary school students.
