An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join a very successful firm in the legal sector.  Based at their offices on the outskirts of Swadlincote, this role offers the successful candidate a forward step in their career with a forward-thinking business on a permanent basis.

You will have the opportunity to work within a busy Commercial Property department, however experience within this is discipline is not essential.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Current or recent experience of working within the legal sector as a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Assistant
  • Ability to work in a busy pressured environment whilst naturally prioritising tasks
  • Confidence in writing and drafting letter and copy typing

The successful candidate will have had experience within the legal sector in an administrative capacity, used to supporting fee earners in a busy practice.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Handling new enquiries and create new files including setting up client details on case management systems
  • Preparing standard and non-standard correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing
  • Preparing contract packs, Land registry aplications and SDLT returns
  • Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
  • Liaise with clients, contacts by telephone and in writing

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £24,000 – £28,000 per annum

Working hours are either full time or part time within their office hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
