Location: Swadlincote (Office-Based) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £50,000-£55,000 SF Recruitment is working with a well-established business in South Derbyshire to recruit a Procurement Manager. This role is suited to someone with strong leadership skills who can manage a small team while remaining hands-on in procurement operations. The Role As Procurement Manager, you will lead a small team, ensuring efficient procurement processes, supplier management, and cost control. You will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to maintain smooth operations, drive improvements, and resolve supply chain challenges. Key Responsibilities -Lead and develop the procurement team, ensuring clear objectives and strong performance. -Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely deliveries in line with ERP schedules. -Implement cost reduction strategies and identify areas for supplier improvement. -Address supplier delivery issues and put corrective actions in place. -Work with Global Category Managers to align procurement activities with business needs. -Maintain an optimal balance between cost, inventory levels, and working capital. -Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. The Person: -Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. -Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team. -Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities. -Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams. -Experience with ERP systems -A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
