Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client's site at their manufacturing site near Swadlincote.
The Warehouse Manager will be a key team player within the management team, responsible for managing the warehouse operation in accordance with site policies and procedures and ensure smooth operation in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities as Warehouse Manager:
- Control and management of all processes and practices within area to ensure that quality and outputs targets are met
- Manage, motivate and develop the Warehouse Team through strong leadership, mentoring and succession planning.
- Ensure health, safety, and welfare in line with legislation
- Distributing work orders and ensuring the workload of the employees
- Steering, coordinating, and implementing processes as well as planning the daily business activities
- Identifying issues or problems and initiating corrective measures and success control
- Collaborate with the Workforce planner to ensure resource planning and processes are delivered in line with budgets, forecasts, and clients' requirements.
- Participating in resource planning (staff and infrastructure)
- Creating and evaluating reports
- Ensuring the quality and service level specifications
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational processes, warehouse layout, and systematic improvements by empowering and engaging the teams to deliver excellence.
- Develop your team to ensure they have the right skills, competencies, and behaviours to achieve their career potential and business results.

Skills required to be Warehouse Shift Manager
- A minimum of 2 year's experience within a similar role
- Ability to troubleshoot warehouse issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Previous experience working within a FMCG environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills communicating at all levels.
- Excellent Management skills.
- Working knowledge on WMS
Qualifications
- Qualification in Management or demonstrable experience
- H&S qualification would be desirable
