Mechanical Design Engineer required to join a well-established Manufacturing company that is based in the Swadlincote area and specialise in conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be experienced in using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD software design suites.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
- Design and develop conveyor systems and mechanical handling machinery, from concept to final production
- Work within a small team
- Adhere to company health and safety standards
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
- A recognised mechanical engineering qualification such as ONC, HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent.
- Must be fully conversant with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design suites.
- Experience with installing and maintaining Autodesk software would be an advantage.
- Be competent using Microsoft Office, particularly working with Excel spreadsheets and Outlook email.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team but also be able to work well under own initiative.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Must have legal right to work in the UK.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration
- Full time - Permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 40-hour week
- Salary - 40,000 to 50,000 depending on experience
- Competitive holiday allowance
