Learning Disability Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire (DE11)
Salary: 27,528 - 32,072 per annum (11.85 - 12.65 per hour plus 60 per sleep-in)
Job Type: Full-time, Long Term - Permanent

Shift Pattern: Rolling rota, 08:00 AM - 11:00 PM (including sleep-ins)

We are working in collaboration with a children's residential home, looking to appint a Learning Disability Children's Residential Support Worker to support children with learning disabilities (including Autism, ADHD, and non-verbal communication). You will help create a safe, positive environment and guide young people to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care, guidance, and support in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere focused on health, education, and personal development.
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Autism, ADHD, or non-verbal communication is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Makaton or PEC's is desirable.
  • A valid UK/EU manual driving licence is essential.
  • Flexibility to work a rolling rota with sleep-in shifts.
  • An enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks (we can assist with this).

Rota Example:

  • Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Saturday
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
  • Week 3: Wednesday
