Empowering Learning are working with a brilliant provision in the DE15 area who are looking to add to their staffing team from September 2024. The school houses children who present with SEMH & an array of other SEN.
This will be a full time and permanent role beginning 2nd September 2024. Hours of work will be 8:30-16:00
The main duties within this role will be:
- Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils within the classroom and using the outdoor space
- Leading small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
- De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour had arisen
- Liaising with senior members of staff in school around progress of the pupils
- Contributing towards the wider goals of the school
The school are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience of working with special educational needs
- Can be resillient in the face of a challenge
- Can build relationships with children who struggle to engage within lessons
- Has a good sense of humour! (It helps)
