W Talent are now exclusively partnering with a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing business based in Swaffham, Norfolk specialising in the manufacture of bespoke products for various UK markets. Due to business growth, our client is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Manager to join their team.

Located in Swaffham, this Days Based, Maintenance Manager position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated leader, or an aspiring Maintenance Supervisor, to make a significant impact within a growing business. The new Maintenance Manager will be a key member of the management team, working closely with and communicating effectively with other department managers across the organisation. This role will play a crucial part in fostering a culture of continuous improvement while upholding strict health, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring that production machinery operates at optimal performance through the execution of preventative maintenance programmes.

  • Lead and develop a small team of Multi-Skilled Maintenance engineers ensuring production machinery operates at optimal performance.
  • Promote and develop a professional, motivated culture across the maintenance team.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Evaluate and improve the planned preventative maintenance system to enable a more proactive maintenance approach.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop long term solutions to prevent machinery and equipment failures across the production areas.
  • Manage the team KPIs including working hours, breakdown failures and repair costs.
  • Provide support and engineering leadership to investment Capex projects.

Key Requirements

My client will consider Lead Engineers or Maintenance Supervisors looking to take that next step into a management position. Alternatively, candidates who are already acting or working in a maintenance manager role, but looking for an exciting new challenge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant HNC, apprenticeship or degree within an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Proven supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Ability and confidence to manage and develop a small team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and overseeing capex and machinery upgrade projects.
  • Experience working with and improving a Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary between 45,000 to 50,000.
  • Performance based annual bonus 10% of yearly salary (5,000)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
