Senior Structural Engineer required for our client based in Kent, our client is seeking an experienced, dedicated, senior structural engineer to join their team, working with some of the largest retailers and developers in the UK with some exciting projects ranging all the way up to £150m.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a consistently growing business with a diverse workload, mostly in the food & retail, medical and large commercial building sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong client facing skills, a minimum or 6-7 years' experience and preferably be Chartered, if not, have a desire to become Chartered with which the company will assist.

Structural Engineer Position Overview

  • Undertake detailed structural engineering design on variety of projects including food & retail industry, medical and large commercial buildings.
  • Prepare technical presentations and reports following site surveys and at a variety of project work stages.
  • Collaboration with Revit technicians in production of CAD / BIM models and documentation, working closely to achieve a timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to net-zero carbo construction and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Undertake site inspections, collaboration with clients, architects, other consultants, and contractors.
  • Represent our client at meetings with clients, contractors, and the wider industry.
  • Ensure an excellent level of service is delivered consistently, design decisions are met, and project work is carried out within the agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer or alternative FEM analysis & design software.

Structural Engineer Position Requirements

  • BEng or BSc in Structural Engineering
  • Chartership status or in process
  • Experience of working on Historical Buildings
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes
  • Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building types.
  • Experience of assessing existing structures is essential.
  • Experience of work on large projects, offices, hotels, housing developments.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Software Knowledge in Tekla
