Carpentry Site Manager Required in Swanley

GVR Solutions are currently working alongside an existing client of ours who are a specialist Carpentry and Joinery contractor based in Kent who are currently looking for anexperienced Site Managerto join their well established team. They have just landed 3 new projects with 2 of them being based in Kent.

The two projects in Kent are a New build project of a Primary and Secondary School and the second project will be working on a block of residential flats where you will be replacing the cladding from the balconies therefore experience working on new builds and remediation works are essential.

Responsibilities of the Carpentry Site Manager:

  • Oversee the day to day running of the site
  • Control and implement health and safety on site
  • Manage quality control and progressive handovers of installation
  • Co-ordinate site activities in line with programme sequence
  • Schedule materials and deliveries in adequate time
  • Attend progress meetings
  • Oversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring works are completed on time
  • Manage record keeping for all contract related correspondence and documentation
  • Provide contract related issue resolution, both internally and externally

As a Carpentry Site Manager you must have/be:

  • Experience as a Site Manager
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Carpentry and Joinery sector
  • Ability to work to programmes and deadlines and be flexible to adapt to change.
  • Have great attention to detail
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS card holder.
  • Demonstrate negotiation and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
