Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and night out allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to relevant regulations and company policies
• Transport goods between locations, ensuring timely delivery
• Perform pre- and post-use vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, reporting issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked, in line with legal and company requirements
• Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and others
• Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to resolve delivery issues
• Plan efficient routes using navigation systems to minimize fuel consumption
• Adhere to driving regulations regarding rest periods and maximum driving hours
• Maintain professionalism and customer service standards when interacting with clients and the public
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum of one year of experience as an HGV Class 1 driver
• Clean driving record with no more than 6 points on your licence
• Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and driving laws
• Ability to work independently with reliability and self-motivation
• Good communication skills and professional interaction with customers and team members
• Physically fit to manage the demands of long-haul driving and handling heavy loads
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
