An exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a team in a professional services firm, based in Swansea. The role will require a strong focus on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Description
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries
- Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
- Provide management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, post-investment appraisals
- Implement and maintain financial controls and systems within the business, identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures
- Liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context
- Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors
- Oversee all tax and regulatory/compliance issues
- Contribute to the financial strategy and decision-making process
- Manage a small team
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to strategise and solve problems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in system implementation
