Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in heavy industry? Are you looking for a highly varied and interesting Quality role for an international company that plays a vital role in manufacturing components for the aerospace and defence industries?

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a first class manufacturer with an enviable reputation in Swansea. This is a fantastic opportunity. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the daily monitoring of process quality performance on the flagship Swansea site.

As Quality Engineer you will:

  • Confirm that quality records, manufacturing documentation and the control plan data are being completed and maintained.
  • Be responsible for daily activities that support product release at stage including daily reporting.
  • Control the quality of all product types through all stages
  • Support root cause analysis for major non-standard events and instigate actions as part of the regular area non-standards meetings
  • Regularly confirm process control and machine capabilities using SOP's, control plans and diagnostics to confirm daily process adherence including supporting any relevant updates to standard operating practices.
  • Aid in the training and competence assessment process of all inspection and special processes activities as required.
  • Support site zero defects process and yield activities
  • Maintain and improve the current calibration control system for all measuring equipment
  • Support final product release/certification in close out of Non-standard issues and actions.
