Môrwell Talent Solutions is excited to be working exclusively to recruit a permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk role for our client, a well-established and growing company located in the heart of Swansea City Centre. This position is ideal for a candidate with a solid background in purchase ledger processing, particularly within the construction/ engineering sectors. The successful candidate will support a friendly accounts department in various functions including purchase ledger processing, supplier reconciliation, and building and forging close working relationships with their suppliers. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring timely payments and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Assistant, or similar role, preferably in a construction/engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of supplier invoice processing and reconciliation procedures.
  • Familiarity with various accounting software, particularly using SAGE would be highly advantageous 
  • Ability to handle invoice discrepancies and liaise effectively with suppliers and site managers
  • Strong organisational skills to manage weekly site returns and maintain accurate records
  • Attention to detail in ensuring pricing and quantities match orders and delivery tickets
  • Processing payment runs, via BACS
  • The ability to take on additional responsibilities and assist with accruals, VAT and monthly reporting

  • Experienced in all aspects of the purchase ledger  
  • Strong communication skills for collaborative work within the accounts team and with external parties
  • Ability to work as part of small and friendly team
