Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a HGV Driver Class 1 or 2 , unlimited HIAB and ADR to work for a client of ours based in Swansea.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a HIAB on back of lorry.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.


Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating flatbed lorries.
  • Familiarity with route planning and navigation systems.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
  • ADR License required
