Tristonenash are supporting one of our close housing partners to appoint a Fire Safety Project Manager to review all fire safety processes within the organisation as well as overseeing contractors carrying out procured contract work. This is an operational role with strategic input in the organisations fire safety strategy.

The organisation has identified they are under resourced and are looking to work with a Project Manager / Surveyor who can manage multiple projects that range from complete external wall, balcony and decking replacements to installing new fire cavity barriers around openings and ducts through the building envelope

We are looking for an experienced individual who has operated at a senior level within a housing association / construction environment previously have excellent technical building knowledge You will have experience of building remediation, fire safety and have experience of working on buildings where residents remain in-situ and the challenges this presents. You will work closely with the design team of architects, fire and structural engineers, employers agents and contractors acting as the principal lead for this work. You will liaise with residents and where necessary attend meetings with them and contribute to regular communications around this.

The role will report to the Director of Assets and Maintenance and while some aspects of the work can be undertaken remotely, there is an expectation of some physical presence in the office in Swansea.The role will also require regular site visits with the majority of schemes having work undertaken being in central Swansea or Port Talbot. The remainder of the working week can be home based

This is in initially a 12month fixed term contract with possible extension.
