Skills Centre Learning Coach

College Skills Centre Learning Coach needed – roles available across all of South Wales.

We are looking to take on a Learning Coach to begin work as soon as possible! The successful Learning Coach will have the opportunity to work in a Further Education setting in Cardiff, where staff are committed to providing the very best education and opportunities for the students. The college is dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive community, whilst also promoting unique and relevant skills to prepare students for the next steps in their careers and development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Learning Coach, who is ready to motivate and to maintain high-standards of learning. As a Learning Coach you will support learners with basic skills, study skills, well-being and pastoral issues, supporting students on a 1:1 and group basis.

Our successful Learning Coach will have:

• Level 3 or Coaching qualification relating to Education
• Experience working in a learning support capacity (skills, pastoral, and well-being)
• Strong classroom and behavioural management skills/experience with challenging behaviours
• Clear commitment to learner support and well-being with an inclusive, learner-centred focus
• Confidence and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to different groups of people e.g. young people, parents, external organisations, academic staff.
