Children's Care Officer Days & Nights
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning difficulties? Our client, a progressive therapeutic care and education provider, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated care officers for both day and night shifts to join their teams in Upper Cwmtwrch and Banwen.
About the Role:As a Care Officer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality residential care for children with diverse needs. You will help ensure their emotional, physical, therapeutic, and social well-being by working closely with a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality care in a residential setting, ensuring the children's needs are met.
- Assist in developing and implementing tailored care plans to support each childs growth and development.
- Engage in daily activities such as meals, recreational events, and educational programs.
- Administer medication as required and coordinate medical appointments for the children.
- Maintain detailed records of each childs progress, behaviour, and any incidents, ensuring effective communication with relevant professionals and family members.
- Work collaboratively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for each child.
- Handle challenging situations with patience, empathy, and a focus on positive outcomes.
- Contribute to innovative care strategies to enhance the well-being of the children in your care.
- Foster excellent communication and teamwork to create a nurturing and safe environment.
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: On-site at care homes in Upper Cwmtwrch and Banwen
- Pay:
- Night Shifts: £28,500- £30,500 per year
- Day Shifts: £30,200 - £31,700 per year
(Bonus scheme available, and overtime paid at x 1.3 hourly rate)
- Shifts:
- Nights: Night shift schedule
- Days: 8 and 12-hour shifts
- Driving Licence: Required due to location and nature of the role.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations with compassion.
