We are seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatrist to join the Swansea Bay University Health Board. This role is based either at the Port Talbot Resource Centre or Central Clinic Swansea, offering flexibility for the candidate’s preference. The position involves assessing and treating patients with various MSK foot and ankle conditions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in podiatric care with a focus on rehabilitation and long-term management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the foot and lower limb.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focusing on rehabilitation and management of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Education: Provide patients with advice and guidance on foot health, rehabilitation exercises, and preventive measures to enhance recovery.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with the health board's standards.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications: HCPC-registered Podiatrist with proven MSK experience.
  • Experience Level: Band 6 or 7 depending on experience in MSK podiatry, preferably within the NHS or a similar healthcare environment.
  • Skills: Expertise in assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions of the foot and lower limb.
  • Availability: Immediate start for a full-time role, 3-month duration.
  • Location: Ability to work at either the Port Talbot Resource Centre or Central Clinic in Swansea.
Working Conditions:
