Process Safety Engineer

Working with a global, well-respected business based in Wales, we are looking to introduce a Process Safety Engineer into their rapidly growing team. With a reputation for excellence and positive contributions to environmental safety, this is a business who are looking to continue their growth within the market.

Due to recent development, this is a new position in the business, and will provide the opportunity for you to develop and implement strategic changes into this site. This incredible opportunity requires an expert and business leader, who will be responsible for delivery of best practice major hazard identification, risk quantification and process safety risk management

Your main focus is supporting production and processing improvement through risk identification and management with recognised industrial practices following required regulations, standards, and guidelines.

This role will identify problems, issues, and concerns to eliminate risks through inspection of facilities, processes, and look at ways to identify and correct potential risks as well as ensure safety regulation compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree or qualification within Process/Chemical Engineering
  • Exposure/Understanding of COMAH
  • Industry experience within - Oil and Gas, Energy, Chemicals, Industrial, Power Generation (hazardous environment experience needed)
  • Experience in HAZOP, BOW-TIE, HAZ-ID, LOPA
