A nurturing primary school in Haringey, North London, is looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with high emotional needs. This role is set to begin in January 2025, and the school is eager to find someone who can make a positive impact on the child's academic and emotional development.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Teaching assistant to offer tailored 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil, focusing on their emotional well-being and personal development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that promote inclusion and engagement.
- Provide a calm, nurturing environment that allows the pupil to feel secure and supported.
- Use your initiative to respond to challenges effectively and adapt strategies as needed.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Teaching assistant experience working with children with high emotional needs or SEMH is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and confident teaching assistant with a natural ability to build trust and rapport.
- Capable of hitting the ground running and taking an active role in the classroom environment.
- Must have an Enhanced DBS or be willing to process one through Reeson Education.
