Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Autism? A welcoming primary school in Haringey is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2025. This role involves working 2:1 to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism, alongside another experienced Teaching Assistant.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, ensuring their academic and social development.
- Collaborate effectively with another Teaching Assistant to share responsibilities and create a nurturing environment.
- Implement strategies to support the pupil's emotional regulation and engagement in class.
- Assist with classroom activities and contribute to the inclusive ethos of the school.
Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with Autism or SEN needs.
- A team player who can work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Patient, understanding, and proactive in adapting to the needs of the child.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
