TeacherActive are proud to be working with a Primary School in Swansea and they are seeking to appoint an excellent Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within their Additional Learning Needs team.
The Head Teacher is committed to providing a safe, happy and nurturing environment in which all children thrive. They provide a relevant, engaging and inclusive curriculum that stimulates the natural curiosity of every child and is responsive to their individual needs. The successful candidate will be working 27.5 hours per week during her term time, and the role will start after February Half Term until the end of the academic year.Â
The successful candidate will be :-
- Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
- Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
- Committed and passionate about learning and teaching
- An excellent team player with a positive attitude.
- Sympathetic to and supportive of pupils with additional learning needs.
- Able to nurture, inspire and motivate pupils
- Able to work as part of a team to achieve the best for each and every pupil.
- Experienced in working with children with Additional Learning Needs
- Aware of the ALN reform in Wales
- Able to carry out duties and responsibilities as set out in the job descriptionÂ
(Previous Training within in the area of Additional Learning Needs would be desirable e.g social communication, manual handling, speech and language, BSL)
