Inspire Young Minds as a Teaching Assistant!
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to join a large secondary school in Cardiff. You will predominately be supporting children with additional learning needs. You will need experience working with children who have additional learning neds for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils who are: falling behind and struggling in lessons, exhibiting challenging behaviour and/or have SEN needs, both on a 1:1 basis.
Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner.
Build positive relationships with Class Teachers to discuss and implement effective strategies and learning activities.
Prepare resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences.
Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
Engage actively with pupils, forming positive rapport and encouraging their learning.

Key Requirements:
Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service; we can process a new one if necessary)

EWC registration- we can assist with this.

A recognised Childcare-based qualification is preferred, but not essential.
Strong ability to build relationships and rapport with pupils and staff.
Resilient, proactive, and positive nature to handle challenges effectively.
Experience in classroom support is beneficial, though not essential.
High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and passivity when working with pupils.
A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential and flourish in their education.
