Work Wales have a new position as a part time HR Officer working in Swansea with a charity. The charity we are working with provides support for people with Alcohol and/or Substance Misuse to achieve their potential and a higher standard of life. You will be required to help people avoid becoming homeless, help promote the independence of the people and coping strategies. This role will involve working within the HR Team to carry out HR duties, including recruitment, onboarding of new staff and data management.

Duties

  • Provide HR support to managers and employees as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new employees.
  • Support with the onboarding of new staff for the company.
  • Be involved in recruitment campaigns and participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Provide advice and support to employees on HR policy, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Support managers through the effective application HR policy and terms.
  • Ensure the accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of various data to the relevant parties.
  • Adhere to the principles of data protection and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all policies.

Experience

  • Experience of supporting the application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong experience of working in a HR Team with a good understanding of the principles of good HR practice.
  • Experience of using HR systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Experience of undertaking the day-to-day activities within the employment cycle.
