Claims Team Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead and manage a team of Claims Technicians. The role involves ensuring that an excellent claims service is provided to customers, including handling claims, overseeing enquiries, managing complaints, and authorising payments. You will be responsible for ensuring claims are settled fairly and efficiently, while adhering to policy guidelines and achieving pre-agreed objectives. Constant improvement of service quality and standards will also be a key focus of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Claims Technicians, including their performance, training, and day-to-day guidance
  • Collaborate with HR on recruitment and resource management
  • Oversee claims tasks, offering coaching and support to team members as needed
  • Drive cultural alignment within the team and the broader organisation, promoting desired behaviors
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Represent the company’s values in all activities
  • Take on additional tasks as requested by line management

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of legal principles and contracts related to insurance
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance provisions in your product range
  • Strong understanding of operational practices and internal processes
