Job Opportunity: Personal Injury Claims Handler

A leading insurance firm is looking to hire a Personal Injury Claims Handler to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a law degree or experience working in a legal environment to take on a key role in managing personal injury claims within the insurance industry.

As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for negotiating the settlement of claims in a fair, efficient, and cost-effective manner, ensuring adherence to policy wording and the Claims Handling Manual. You will also provide exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both pre- and post-litigation procedures, ensuring cases are concluded effectively and economically
  • Validate claims and ensure details align with company records
  • Identify and refer questionable underwriting for further review
  • Investigate loss circumstances and carry out appropriate liability enquiries
  • Validate accounts and fee notes, authorizing payments when necessary
  • Maintain and adjust accurate estimates throughout the life of each claim

About You: We’re looking for individuals with a solid legal/insurance background who are organised, customer-focused, and able to work efficiently. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience working in a legal or insurance environment
  • A law degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • The ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively
