We are currently recruiting for an Inbound Logistics Stores Process Technician for our client based in Clydach, Swansea.

As an Inbound Logistics stores Process Technician, you will assist the Team Leader in optimising efficiency in terms of safety, cost, and quality within the stores area. Your responsibilities include receiving items from suppliers and returns from the plant, issuing items to various departments around the site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that customer needs are met for delivery, return, and quality of products.
  • Assist the Team Leader to optimise efficiency regarding Safety, Cost, and Quality within stores area.
  • Check integrity of all goods received and highlight any defects to Team Leader.
  • Enter data into ERP system.
  • Operate forklift, pallet truck and COB.
  • Ensure timeliness of goods receipting process.
  • Resolve Stores related invoice / delivery queries as they arise.
  • Identify to Team Leader any defects that are observed to equipment and products.
  • Stock checking (cycle counts).
  • Monitor stock levels.
  • Organise and prioritise daily tasks.
  • Organise cycle counting schedule to ensure cycle counting targets are achieved.
  • Assist in inventory management (obsolescence, on hand quantity, stock discrepancies, etc.).
  • Carry out 5S initiatives.

Requirements:

  • GCSE/ Business/ Logistics qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a stores area
  • Good IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • a CCNSG dafety Passport / IOSH qiualification is desirable
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
  • Is able to work on own initiative.

This is a full time / contractual position, working 37.5 hours a week - although overtime may be required & payable at a premium rate.

Starting salary is £31,212 - rising to £33,813 once you have passed out as competent. In addition to this overtime is payable at a premium rate of 1.74, and a discressionary annual bonus.
