We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the final stages of production, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. Responsibilities
- Grind and polish surfaces to achieve desired finishes on products.
- Assemble components accurately, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Fabricate parts using hand tools and machinery, adhering to specifications.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during production.
- Employ mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the finishing process.
- Work with tooling equipment to shape and form materials as required.
- Weld components together when necessary, ensuring strong and durable joints.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar finishing role or within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools effectively.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- A basic understanding of welding techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
3 12 hour shift pattern - 41 hours a week
