Description
The Role:
- Preparing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
- Scheduling meetings, appointments and court dates
- Maintaining and organising case files
- Audio and copy typing
- Performing legal research
- Handling confidential information
- Communicating with clients, solicitors, and court officials
- Assisting with billing and invoice processing
- Supporting the team with administrative duties as required
- Office-based
Profile
A successful Legal Secretary should have:
- Experience in a similar role
- Typing skills
- Proficient knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.)
- Outstanding time-management and typing skills
- Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
