Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Palliative Care Occupational Therapist to join the palliative care service at Morriston Hospital, Ty Olwen. This role involves a mix of ward-based and community rehabilitation work. Ideal candidates will have experience in rehabilitation, hoisting, and manual handling, particularly in neuro or palliative care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy within the palliative care service.
  • Deliver both ward-based care and community rehabilitation for palliative patients.
  • Assess and develop personalized care plans to enhance the quality of life for patients with life-limiting conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Offer support with hoisting, manual handling, and rehabilitation as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in neuro or palliative care is desirable.
  • Proficiency in rehabilitation, hoisting, and manual handling techniques.
