A leading privately owned contractor based in South Wales are seeking an experienced construction biased Accounts Assistant to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Accounts Assistance will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.
About the role of Accounts Assistant
This regional contractor traditionally specialises in groundworks & earthworks packages for leading Tier 1 framework clients contractors across the South Wales & South West region. The role of Accounts Assistant will be joining a comprehensive and experienced Finance Team.
Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant
- Log payments through the banking systems
- Provide support to staff within the business and external clients
- Assist with preparation of monthly reports for the board and pulling contracts together
- Monitor and assist with credit control
Requirements for Accounts Assistant
- Minimum qualification at A level Accountancy
- Previous experience in the construction industry is essential
- Strong customer service skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn & develop skill set
- Proactive approach to workload
- Attention to detail
- Supportive and team player nature
