The Role
The Laboratory Technician will assist with engineering requirements on various projects within the Central Laboratory. They will work closely with team members from both the laboratory, supporting a culture of teamwork and flexibility. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Carry out a wide range of mechanical, environmental, and electrical tests in the laboratory in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare samples and laboratory equipment for various tests
- Use testing equipment with a focus on quality and accuracy of measurement
- Follow Central Laboratory test methods and Customer test specification
- Record and communicate test results to laboratory management
- Ensure that the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental standards are always maintained
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Ability to read and understand Test Specifications
- Knowledge of testing and measuring equipment
- A basic knowledge of quality systems such as IATF16949 and ISO/IEC 17025
Experience required
- Basic engineering qualifications preferred, however, not essential
- Hands on experience of mechanical, environmental or electrical testing within a laboratory environment would be beneficial
- Must have an existing right to work in the UK
