NETBOP is a leading web & automation development and require additional resources to bolster the existing team which primarily offer Intelligent Automation, Bespoke Web Portal Development, WordPress development, hosting and maintenance.

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to solve complex problems with clean, maintainable code.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be an experienced PHP Developer with a passion for solving complex problems through developing clean, well-written and maintainable code as well as supporting and helping to build upon existing internal systems.

You will be working within a small team in our Swansea office. As a confident PHP Developer, you will be provided with opportunities to work on multiple project for clients throughout the UK.

You will have

  • Extensive commercial experience in PHP development (object orientated), building secure web portals and interactions between MySQL/API integrations.
  • Experience in creating Bespoke WordPress Theme development and abilities in customising plugins and themes
  • Understanding of how to use hooks & filters to extend popular WordPress plugins such as ACF and WooCommerce
  • Experience with Javascript/JQuery & Grunt
  • Experience integrating 3rd-party REST APIs
  • Good attention to detail and strive for perfection
  • Awareness of web fundamentals, such as security, performance, semantics and web accessibility
  • Strong communication skills/comfortable in client meetings
  • Great interpersonal skills

Required Experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • At least 3+ years commercial PHP or WordPress development experience
  • Demonstratable knowledge of Object-Oriented and Procedural PHP and good knowledge of PHP fundamentals
  • Able to use standard workflow tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
