- Conduct daily early morning sample registration onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Import sample point data and enter results onto LIMS.
- Organise and dispatch samples for outsourcing analysis.
- Prepare sample containers for re-use, ensuring they are clean and decontaminated. This involves operating high-temperature laboratory muffler ovens and shrink-wrapping machinery.
- Manage sample bottle orders from the operational monitoring team and ensure timely dispatch to samplers, including applying harmful and corrosive preservatives to containers.
- Provide administrative and customer service support for the analytical activities of the laboratory, including procurement ordering, handling email queries, and obtaining prompt responses for customers.
- Maintain due diligence of correct processes to uphold legal chain of custody for formal enforcement samples.
- Maintain excellent awareness of both laboratory-specific and general Health & Safety requirements by adhering to health and safety policies.
- Ability to work in a high-throughput routine environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding repetitive lifting and carrying duties.
- Excellent customer service and awareness skills.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive for Business).
- Understanding of document management systems, cloud-based storage, and data entry into bespoke systems such as LIMS.
- Monday: 8am - 4pm
- Tuesday: 7am - 3:30pm
- Wednesday: 7am - 3:30pm
- Thursday: 7am - 3:30pm
- Friday: 7am - 1:45pm
