Robert Half are seeking a qualified Cost Accountant for a contract role with a leading Wiltshire based business.

6 months contract - Hybrid working options avaiable.

You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on material, labour, and overhead costs, stock variances, and costs of goods sold.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and report cost discrepancies through cost analysis.

Evaluate procedures and processes for improvements to optimise costs.

Prepare and maintain cost forecasts, incorporating historical data and future predictions.

Collaborate with the financial planning and control teams to provide the company with accurate information for decision making.

Review invoices and supplier contracts to ensure accurate and timely data collection.

Manage cost information for various products and services, understanding the impacts on product pricing.

Review stock inventory levels and evaluate stock variances.

Conduct quarterly reviews and forecasts providing the accuracy of the company's financial data.

Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)

Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or relevant role.

Deep understanding of accounting procedures and experience with cost accounting systems.

Strong knowledge of stock management and stock variance analysis.

Familiarity with price evaluations and market trends.

Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data, with attention to detail.

Outstanding communication skills to report to senior management.

The position is a temporary role with potential for further opportunities within the organisation.
