We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area. You will provide an effective and efficient financial support service to the organisation, ensuring compliance with its policy and always delivering operational excellence.

Main Duties:

  • Undertake specific operational finance tasks - purchase orders and invoices, monthly reconciliations to support to ensure the efficient and effective use of the organisation budget, ensuring compliance with the organisations financial policies
  • Support the processing of central orders, invoices and preparation of central BACS payments ensuring all transactions have the appropriate authorisation.
  • To supervise the financial administration and transaction processing undertaken by the Finance Officers, including grant funding receipting, purchase order / invoice processing, sales invoice processing, petty cash and credit card transactions.
  • Main point of contact for administering, ordering and invoice processing for the Central Services Team.
  • Processing and production of routine supplier and staff expenses BACS payment run.
  • Aid the finance team to ensure invoices are supported, where applicable, by relevant purchase orders.
  • Ensuring that the processing of all transactions is timely and that deadlines are met, including month end and year end deadlines and supplier payment terms.

The ideal candidate will be part of fully AAT qualified, have a high level of computer and numerical literacy, including packages such as Excel and Word. A Sound practical knowledge of finance and accounting systems is required. As well as having strong organisational skills, an eye for attention to detail and effective time management skills.
