Financial Controller - Manufacturing Sector

Location: Swindon
Salary: Up to £75,000 (depending on experience)
Working pattern: 5 days a week on-site

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

About the Role:

As Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering strategic financial guidance. You'll be at the forefront of managing the company's financial health, reporting directly to the CFO and leading a dedicated team. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on creating efficiencies, improving processes, and contributing to organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Provide strategic insight to the senior leadership team, aiding key decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting, tax requirements, and financial regulations.
Lead the preparation of annual accounts, VAT submissions, and R&D claims.
Manage cash flow, including invoice financing and bank reconciliations.
Develop and maintain secure procedures for internal audits and financial controls.
Build strong relationships across the organisation, supporting various teams on financial matters.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and operational efficiency.

About You:

We're looking for an experienced finance professional with:

Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accreditation.
Experience: Substantial post-qualification experience, ideally 10+ years, with a strong background in manufacturing or engineering industries.
Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in ERP systems.
A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving change.
A collaborative leadership style, fostering teamwork and supporting organisational growth.
