Reed Accountancy are exclusively working with a growing SME based in Swindon who are actively seeking a manufacturing accountant to join their busy team. This is a great opportunity to be working for a pioneering environmental technology who have ample visions for growth and development.

 This role offers the opportunity to be part of a company that is dedicated to realising a circular economy globally through innovative technology. You will provide crucial accounting support and insights, directly influencing the operational and financial strategies of our manufacturing facilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage accounting support and reporting for the manufacturing facility and Swindon trial fertiliser manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct monthly stock reconciliations for both manufacturing sites.
  • Regularly produce and develop standard costings for management discussions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to integrate learnings from standard costs into financial models for manufacturing plants, aiding in strategic decisions regarding raw materials and pricing.
  • Develop and report on manufacturing KPIs for board reports.
  • Assist the manufacturing team with monthly forecasts and budgeting.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and continuous review and improvement of systems.
  • Provide financial input into the development of the plant operating system, ensuring integration with financial reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience (QBE) in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing Accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various teams.
  • Proficient in IT skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to independently solve problems.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company environment is highly advantageous.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Sage online accounting software.
  • Knowledge of Project Accounting.
  • Background in working within a small, rapidly growing company.
