You will provide crucial accounting support and insights, directly influencing the operational and financial strategies of our manufacturing facilities.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage accounting support and reporting for the manufacturing facility and Swindon trial fertiliser manufacturing facility.
- Conduct monthly stock reconciliations for both manufacturing sites.
- Regularly produce and develop standard costings for management discussions.
- Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to integrate learnings from standard costs into financial models for manufacturing plants, aiding in strategic decisions regarding raw materials and pricing.
- Develop and report on manufacturing KPIs for board reports.
- Assist the manufacturing team with monthly forecasts and budgeting.
- Engage in ad hoc projects and continuous review and improvement of systems.
- Provide financial input into the development of the plant operating system, ensuring integration with financial reporting.
- Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience (QBE) in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in Manufacturing Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various teams.
- Proficient in IT skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to independently solve problems.
- Experience in a fast-growing company environment is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Sage online accounting software.
- Knowledge of Project Accounting.
- Background in working within a small, rapidly growing company.
