Hays Senior Finance are partnered with a growing, leading employer in Swindon to appoint an analytical, qualified Senior Management Accountant to their team. The business is renowned for it's state-of-the-art equipment and office space, its focus on flexible working and staff wellbeing, and internal career development and opportunities. This role has arisen due to an internal move in a team that has excellent tenure and collaboration. Offering 19 hours a week, and flexible on 3 days a week or spread over 5 days.Your new roleYou'll join the team as a Senior Management Accountant, in a crucial role that will oversee accounting closing processes, working closely with other specialist teams in the finance and risk departments. You'll also support internal performance reporting and provide crucial support around reporting standards. Day to day responsibilities:
- Support month-, quarter- and year-end close
- Reconcile performance reporting to financial reporting standards
- Posting unrealised derivatives and accruals for realised transactions
- Collaborate with controlling and risk teams, providing analysis
- Analyse and support the resolution of technical accounting, process, and system-related data issues
- Provide support for accounting projects
What you'll need to succeedYou'll need to be a fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant either trained in practice or industry, ideally with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in a management accounting role within a large organisation. You'll also have:
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Openness to taking on new tasks and a strong willingness to develop professionally
- Experience with SAP
