Role Overview:

Our Client is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting tasks for multiple small businesses while also contributing to the overall growth and improvement of their practice.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of their team, sharing office duties and working with and helping train junior staff to drive the practice forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns in both Xero and QuickBooks
  • Reconcile banks, accounts payable and receivable
  • Complete corporate tax returns as well as personal tax returns
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in initiatives to improve our processes and expand client services.
  • Share in administrative and office duties to ensure efficient operation.

Required:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA).
  • Proven experience as an accountant, with comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • ‘5 years recent Practice experience is required

Preferred:

  • Experience in a small or medium-sized practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple client accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a close-knit team.
