Audit and Accounts Senior



Swindon | Hybrid (office-based with optional WFH on Wednesdays) Full-time, 37.5 hours/week 35,000 - 50,000 FTE, depending on experience & qualifications

A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Swindon is seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join their supportive and collaborative team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad portfolio including Charity and Not-for-Profit clients, as well as SMEs, groups, and sole traders. It's ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is passionate about delivering high-quality service in a people-first culture.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support on a range of audit and accounts assignments (approx. 50/50 split)

  • Deliver assignments across Charities, NFPs, Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships

  • Prepare management and statutory accounts, audit files, and tax computations

  • Supervise, coach, and review junior team members' work

  • Liaise directly with clients and develop strong working relationships

  • Assist with budget planning and commercial insight

  • Support senior management on ad-hoc projects and advisory work



What We're Looking For

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience)

  • At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice

  • Charity sector experience is desirable but not essential - training will be provided

  • Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS102) and audit procedures

  • Comfortable using accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients confidently
