We are working with a well known business in Swindon to recruit for a Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. Description

As an Assistant Accountant you will have a series of roles and responsibilities which include:

  • Keeping and reconciling cashbook, cash sales ledger & asset register.
  • To maintain up to date reconciliations of nominal ledger accounts.
  • To assist the Management Accountant in the production & maintenance of the accounts.
  • To assist the Management Accountant in ensuring that the company procedures are followed by staff and suppliers and that continuing improvements are made.
  • To assist with the audit process.
  • To raise payments on our banking software for approval.
  • To perform other tasks which may be required to be undertaken by the Finance department.

Profile

In order to be successful when applying for this role, you will need to be able to confidently complete the tasks stated above. You will also need the following skills and attributes:

  • AAT Level 4 or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including vlookups & pivot tables)
