On behalf of our esteemed client, we are seeking a highly experienced Installation Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued success in the fire and electronic security systems industry.



Job Overview:

As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and handing over fire and electronic security systems. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the successful completion of projects and provide exceptional service to clients. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of industry standards and systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation: Install fire, intruder, CCTV, and access control systems at client sites.

  • Commissioning & Handover: Program, commission, and handover installed systems to clients, ensuring they are fully operational and meet client requirements.

  • Fault Finding & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across all disciplines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

  • Team Support: Provide support to other engineers on the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative work environment.

  • Hybrid Systems: Work on various electronic/hybrid systems, adapting to new technologies and methodologies as required.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.

  • Service & Maintenance: Perform occasional service and maintenance tasks when required, ensuring systems remain in peak condition.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Line Manager to plan and execute projects, provide progress updates, and address any challenges that arise.

  • Fire Systems: Advanced MX Pro 4/5, CTEC Addressable, EMS, CTEC Alarmsense, Conventional Systems

  • Intruder Alarm Systems (IAS): Pyronix Euro/Enforcer, AJAX, Texecom, Honeywell Galaxy, EATON Products, Risco

  • Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV): Hik Vision, Dahua, Concept Pro

  • Access Control: Paxton, TDSI, CDVI, ACT

  • Intercom Systems: Videx, Bticino, Entry Phone



Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sector experience in the fire and electronic security systems industry.

  • Licence: Full UK driving licence.

  • Background Check: Ability to pass a CRB/DBS check.

  • Certification: Holding a CSCS/ECS card is preferable.

  • Skills:

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent communication and time-keeping skills.

    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Proactive problem-solving ability and the capacity to think outside the box.

    • Good understanding of and ability to work in line with BSI standards.

    • Comprehensive knowledge across FAS, IAS, CCTV, ACCESS platforms.
