Our client, a leading and innovative community healthcare services provider, is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join their team in Swindon.

This provider delivers seamless support to both primary and secondary care services, ensuring high-quality Dermatology, ENT, and Audiology services to patients referred by GPs and NHS Trusts.

Role: Audiologist

Location: SwindonDays Available: Monday to FridayWorking Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (or similar)Rate: £30.00 per hour (paid as a limited contractor or sole trader, ensuring you receive the full amount)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to adult patients within the community ENT service, including both new and follow-up patients.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage disorders related to hearing and balance.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature and extent of a patient's hearing or balance impairment using audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions, and balance assessments.
  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans for patients with hearing and balance disorders, including the fitting and programming of hearing aids, cochlear implants, and bone conduction devices.
  • Manage patients with tinnitus, providing counselling, sound therapy, and habituation techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including ENT specialists and speech therapists, to provide holistic care for patients.
Candidate Requirements (Medical and Nursing):
  • Qualifications: BSc in Audiology, with full registration as a practicing audiologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: Proven experience diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders in a UK healthcare setting, along with proficiency in using specialized audiology equipment and software.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to empathise with patients and their families, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Professional Memberships: Active membership in relevant professional organisations, such as the British Society of Audiology (BSA) or British Academy of Audiology (BAA).
  • Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of ENT anatomy, physiology, and pathology, with a commitment to staying updated on advancements in audiology research and technology.
