Job type - Full time, On-Call requirement 

Join my client - a leader in integrated services across community-facing assets and infrastructure! We are seeking a dedicated individual to become the single point of contact for nominated schools within the Swindon portfolio of PFI contracts. This role requires excellent multitasking skills and a deep understanding of facilities management processes.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Leadership: Provide direct line management and leadership to all site team functions, including caretakers, cleaning, and site supervisors.
  • Oversight: Oversee subcontractor delivery services such as Pest Control, Grounds Maintenance, catering, security, and waste management providers.
  • Safety: Ensure the implementation of safe systems of work and maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
  • Efficiency: Develop building plans outlining strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs and forecasting the facility’s future needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols and conduct frequent recorded monitoring/audits of sites to review standards and performance.
  • Training: Develop training programmes and workshops for site teams, ensuring all staff receive appropriate training and development.
  • HR Management: Manage HR issues within your teams in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Collaboration: Develop productive working relationships with colleagues, clients, schools, and external parties.
  • Support: Support and develop the delivery of any required mandatory training for new starters, focusing on safeguarding.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Facilities Management, experience with PFI is advantageous.
  • UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - due to on call requirement. 
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH or similar health and safety qualification.
  • Knowledge of H&S, Environmental Legislation, and Practice relating to FM.
  • Proficiency in using Asset Management packages.
