The Pricing Manager will be responsible for the pricing strategy, price setting and price communication to customers.  All pricing activities will be overseen by the Pricing Manager ensuring a clear focus remains on optimising profit margin.

They will play a critical role working in close collaboration with Purchasing, Supply Chain and the Sales departments, to leverage market intelligence to make optimal pricing decisions, and improve the salesforce effectiveness. The role holder will be pivotal within the Commercial department, by providing expert support on pricing projects, partnering with Sales on tactical growth initiatives and clearly articulating pricing performance to other areas of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Set list pricing for all products and ensure pricing information is kept up to date on a daily basis.
  • Update pricing for new products.
  • Work with and improve current pricing structures
  • Develop and improve pricing procedures
  • Researching markets, customers and competitors, ensuring BGA’s pricing is competitive and commercially viable.
  • Develop insights to drive pricing initiatives and strategy
  • Build complex models to understand and predict market place price changes
  • Co-ordinate price changes, monitor performance and track market position
  • Present insights and work with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience in a commercial environment.
  • Strong capabilities in SQL.
  • Competent in PowerBI.
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Experience of using large volumes of data.
  • Data driven, confident in using multiple analytic tools and experienced in creating and running reports and using them to track success.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resilient
  • Great commercial acumen, financial skills, and creativity.
