Site engineer and Section engineer
Location – Swindon
Rate – Competitive
My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Swindon, who is currently looking for a site engineer or a section engineer with previous rail and bridges experience to work on one of the major rail projects on a long term contract position.
Site engineer responsibilities and requirements:
- Previous experience in rail and bridges
- Reporting to the Sub/Site Agent.
- Setting Out and Monitoring.
- Reviewing and Managing ITP’s and WPP’s
- Raising of technical queries
- Managing and working with Sub Contractors.
- Update as built drawings
- CSCS Card.
- Must have valid PTS
- Degree qualified or Time Served
Section engineer responsibilities and requirements:
- Experience in major rail/bridges project
- Weekly Look Ahead programmes and work Schedules
- Progress Reports
- Quality Records (technical Queries, Setting Out and Dimensional Controls, Formation Approvals, Reinforcement Records, Concrete Pour Records, Drainage Inspection Records, Instrument Calibration Checks Etc.)
- Temporary Works design briefs, crane studies
- and Permits to Load
- Daily Site Diaries
- Records of verbal instructions.
- Lost time, daywork etc.
- Behavioural Safety Observation
- Civil Engineering Degree
- Ability to manage a section site engineering team
- SMSTS card preferable
- CSCS card
- Temporary Works Knowledge
- First Aid
